The Insurance Authority has launched 15 new digital services through its electronic services portal, “TAMEEN," in a qualitative step aimed at building an advanced digital environment that enhances regulatory and supervisory efficiency, streamlines procedures with sector stakeholders, and enables insurance companies and service providers to elevate performance levels.

The newly launched digital services available on the “TAMEEN" portal include: sector company registration; assignment of key functions; contracting and contract termination; amendment of the articles of association/bylaws; branches and points of sale; bancassurance agreements; nomination for membership of external entities; registration of foreign reinsurance companies; individual products; group products; individual and group products; qualification, renewal of qualification, or re-qualification; senior leadership positions; in addition to electronic sales and electronic integration.

The launch of these services comes as a continuation of the Authority's digital transformation journey, which began with the inauguration of the “TAMEEN" portal in February 2025 as part of its official website (https://www.ia.gov.sa/). At the time of its launch, the portal included 36 services covering licensing, approvals, and supervisory and regulatory services.

The official spokesperson for the Insurance Authority, Mr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Qahtani, explained that the newly launched service package comprises a range of regulatory, supervisory, and operational services that can now be fully executed electronically via the “TAMEEN" portal. This development facilitates procedures related to company and product registration, qualification processes, and the approval of nominations for senior leadership positions, while strengthening electronic integration among insurance sector entities, thereby enhancing efficiency and enabling greater focus on innovation and growth.

The Authority's spokesperson further affirmed that the launch of these services reflects the Authority's commitment to developing the sector's digital environment, increasing its attractiveness to local and foreign investments, facilitating access to the Authority's services, and raising levels of compliance and regulatory quality.

It is noteworthy that, during November, the Insurance Authority organized the Global Insurance Conference & Exhibition Ingate, which witnessed the launch of several key digital initiatives, most notably the “Insurance Data Hub," the “Insurance Integration Platform," and the “Digital Maturity Measurement Project" for sector companies. These initiatives align with the needs of the insurance sector, strengthen its digital transformation, address sectoral gaps, and support the achievement of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
